Riverside's Roberts & Jensen Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (April 7)

Isaiah Roberts (Riverside Univ. High School) and Charles Jensen (Riverside Univ. High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 30 – April 5.

Roberts took first place in the shot put at the MCC indoor track and field championships at South Division last week. He posted a throw of 47 feet, 7.5 inches, besting second place by nearly five feet en route to his third consecutive indoor shot put title.

Riverside finished second to Rufus King in the overall boys team scoring at the championship.

On the diamond, while Jensen has reached base three time in 10 plate appearances for the Tigers this year, his off-the-field contributions have been just as critical for the school and conference. Riverside baseball hosts the Jackie Robinson Invitational each spring. The event, now entering its third year, continues to grow in scope with 19 area baseball and softball teams (including five from the MCC) competing at Henry Aaron Field and Wick Playfield on April 11 and 12. This year, Jensen – who is an aspiring graphic artist and recently completed an internship with the Milwaukee Brewers – designed a new logo for the event. See the logo below!
